were honored recently on the
occasion of their 55th wed-
ding anniversary. The event
was celebrated with a family

brunch at Norm's Eton Street
Station hosted by their son
and daughter. The Wasser-
mans reside in Farmington
Hills and Del Ray Beach, Fla.
Adler 50th
Rose and Louis Adler
recently celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary with a
dinner in their honor. In at-
tendance were their children
Francine and Robert Levine
and Stephen Adler. Out-of-
town guests included Sandy
and Sidney Adler and Betty
Garnet, all of Toronto,
Canada. The Adlers have 10
grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.

Young Adult Division
Hears Dr. Cannon
Dr. Ellen Cannon, political
commentator and producer
for National Public Radio,
will speak at a Jewish Federa-
tion Young Adult Division
gathering on behalf of the
Allied Jewish Campaign 7:30
p.m. Dec. 11 at the home of
Bluma and Robert Schechter.
The gathering is for con-
tributors of $1,000 or more to
the 1992 Campaign.
Dr. Cannon, a professor of
political science at North-
eastern Illinois and Roosevelt
universities focuses on Jewish
feminism and politics,
religion and the Holocaust.
She is active in civil and
communal organizations, ser-
ving as vice president of the
American Jewish Congress
(Midwest Region). She also
serves on the executive board
of the International Jewish
Women's Network, the Na-
tional Women's Studies
Association and the National
Task Force on Black-Jewish
Relations.
