The Baldwin Public Library
will continue its "Books at
Lunch" and "Let's Talk
About It" series in December.
Books for Giving will be
noon Dec. 4. Librarian Sarah
Ormond will present a collec-
tion of books for giving. Bring
a bag lunch. The library will
provide tea and coffee.
Love Medicine will be
7:30-9 p.m. Dec. 4. Dr. Ernest
Nolan of Madonna College
will lead a discussion of
Louise Erdrich's portrait of
the native American
experience.

A new session of the
popular "Smaller Fry and
Friend" series at the Baldwin
Public Library will begin Dec.
6.
The three-week program for
tots ages 18 to 36 months
(with an adult) will meet
December 6, 13 and 20,
10-10:30 a.m. or 11-11:30 a.m.
Children can develop their
coordination through action
games, fingerplays and sim-
ple crafts. They are also in-
troduced to the world of
literature and the wonders of
listening to stories.

Holds Sale

The Ann Arbor Fiberarts
Guild will hold its annual
winter sale of handwoven and
fiberarts pieces made by
members 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov.
30-Dec. 1 at the Matthaei
Botanical Gardens, 1800 Dix-
boro Rd.
Fiber techniques will be
demonstrated throughout the
day, and a door prize will be
offered. Admission is free.

Hosts Concerts

January 1992 will bring a
guitarist, recorder soloist and
violinist to the University of
Michigan campus for two
recitals sponsored by the
University Musical Society.
Performing in the Chamber
Arts Series will be Kazuhito
Yamashita, guitarist; and
Michala Petri, recorder
soloist, in joint recital on Jan.
25, and violinist Isaac Stern
in recital on Jan. 30 in the
Choral Union Series.
