Art Association
Offers Classes

Registration for winter
classes at the Birmingham
Bloomfield Art Association
will start Dec. 9 for members
and Dec. 16 for non-members.
Classes will be offered in pot
tery, glass blowing, jewelry,
drawing, painting and
sculpture.
New classes this semester
will be collograph and em-
bossing and exploring the
still life.
Workshops will include
Japanese papermaking, mat-

ting, bookbinding and
wearable photographic art.

Hope Palmer will conduct a
lecture series "Gateway to
the 20th Century: Art and
Culture in a Changing
World."
There will be youth classes
in all media, for the pre-
schooler through high school.
The term will run Jan.
13-March 21.

Detroit Youththeatre
Stages Musical

Detroit Youtheatre will pre-
sent But I'm Just A Kid Nov.
23 in the Detroit Institute of
Arts auditorium.
This is a pop/rock show with
family appeal. The lyrics deal
with themes and feelings that
concern kids — like going in-
to first grade, the park closing
down, getting a haircut and
celebrating the arrival of
Saturday.

But I'm Just A Kid is a
Youtheatre Wiggle Club
show, recommended for in-
troducing youngsters age 3
and up to the joy of live
theatre.
Tickets are available in ad-
vance through the DIA Ticket
Office and at the door before
the performance. For informa-
