in his shunning by the movie
industry. He does come alive
in the scene where he con-
fronts the committee, but
that's too little too late. This
could have been so good."

Organization of America and
very likable localite, recently
dedicated the $2.6 million
Meyerhoff Theatre at the
ZOA House in Tel Aviv . . . It
now becomes the home of
Israel's famous "Kameri"
Theatre and the new estab-
lished Fishman Yiddish
Theater . . . Combined with
the Laker Audio Visual
Center (a gift of the Laker
family), the ZOA House has
emerged among the foremost
Israeli centers for culture and
the arts . . . At Kfar Silver,
ZOA's 520-acre educational
campus near Ashkelon, Sid
unveiled the newly upgraded
and re-equipped Irwin and
Bethea Green School of Agri-

and Bethea Green), a state-of-
the-art institution for agricul-
tural and horticultural
sciences.

A YOUNG FATHER

schooled in modern-day
psychology decided to use
every bit of knowledge at his

command to introduce the
new-born baby brother to his
little 4-year-old son . . . He
took the youngster by the
hand and walked quietly in-
to the nursery and lifted him
so he could see the new baby
. . . As it was getting close to
feeding time, the newborn
baby began to cry uncon-
trollably . . . The little
brother looked at the father
and said, "No wonder mom-
my hid him under her coat so
long!"

ing . . . Next, Executive
Chef Michael Russell will
have slabs of margarine in-
stead of those little plastic
containers . . . Wonder if he
knows this is being given to
people who ask for
margarine? . . . It sure can't
be Michael's idea . . . he's too
good a chef to allow this.
DEFINITIONS: Genius,
someone who can rewrap a
new shirt and not have any
pins left over . . . Antique,

LOOKING BACK On Col-
umns Of Yesteryears .. .
SEPT. 19, 1975 . . . "As is
the usual whim among young
children, 6-year-old Anne Sue
Green reported to her mother,
Shirley Green (Ed) that she
was leaving home . . . Anne
Sue had a few bits of clothing
in a paper bag and was off to
see the world . . . Shirley said
she would pack her a lunch
and wished Anne Sue the
best of luck, saying that if she
ever wanted to come back
home, her daddy and mother
would always be waiting .. .
It all seemed serious until
Anne Sue burst out crying,
"But Mommy, what'll I do
when it gets dark outside?"
JULY 29, 1966 . . . "Inter-
viewing a new typist for their
