Rabbi Lawrence Kushner
will be the keynote speaker
for the Third Annual Jewish
Book Fair sponsored by the
Jewish Community Center of
Washtenaw County Nov. 9-10.
Rabbi Kushner will speak
8:15 p.m., Nov. 9, about his
new book, God was in this
Place and I, i did not know —
Finding Self Spirituality and
Ultimate Meaning."
The fair will bring over
2,000 book titles for sale and
a variety of programming.
The Book Fair and all Book
Fair programming are free
and open to the public. Books
will be on sale from 9-10 p.m.
Nov. 9 and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on
Nov. 10.
A champagne reception for
Book Fair "Angels" — those
contributing $30 a person to
help underwrite the book fair
— will be held 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Nov. 9. Events Nov. 10 will
begin with Bagels and
Browse from 9-10 a.m. From
10:30 to 11:30 a.m. authors
Karen Katz and Jan
Greenberg will discuss and
autograph their new book,
What Does Being Jewish
Mean? Read-Aloud Responses

story teller Laura Pershin
and musician Rosalie Koenig
will pair up from 1:30 to 2:30
p.m. to present "Buried
Treasures and Golden Latkes:
Stories and Songs from
Jewish Tradition."
Special children's program-
ming will continue 2:30 to
3:30 p.m with a "Children's
Craft Hour." Children will be
decorating cookies baked in
the shape of books, make
bookmarks, book covers and
book games.
