Muslim, Christian, Jewish
Leadership Forum of the
Greater Detroit Interfaith
Round Table 1:30-7:30 p.m.
Nov. 10 at the Islamic Center
of America, 15570 Joy Road
(at Greenfield) in Detroit.
The speaker will be Dr.
Khalid Duran, associate
scholar with the Foreign
Policy Research Institute in
Philadelphia. He will discuss
"The Muslim Year and the
Life Cycle of the Believer"
and "The Variety of Muslim
Cultures Through the Years"
under the general theme
"Understanding Islam:.
Perspectives from Within and
Without."
Jewish and Christian
perspectives will be presented
by Rabbi Daniel Polish of
Temple Beth El in Birm-
ingham and Rev. Harvey
Guthrie of St. Andrew
Episcopal Church in Ann
Arbor.
A series of eleven
workshops will be offered.

Adat Shalom Synagogue.
Rabbi Spectre will tell
about adventures and con-
tributions of Jewish people in
the Orient. Through slides
taken on his trip to Japan,
Hong Kong, Mainland China
and Bangkok, he will il-
lustrate the Jewish connec-
tion with the Far East.
The series is sponsored by
the Synagogue's Adult Study
Commission. It is open to the
