sity, she played professional
bridge.
She still plays in national
tournaments, often with the
same partner, Katharine Wei,
with whom she began playing
professionally 20 years ago.
Throughout her career, she
always had a positive atti-
tude: "I knew I was going to
be a world champion."
When she was 27, she
reached that goal. In 1987 she
won an Olympic medal in
New Orleans. She has won six
world medals. She is part of
the Corporate America
Bridge Team, which includes
several top executives from
Fortune 500 companies. Ms.
Radin was recently bridge
partners with George Burns
and Warren Buffet and was
featured in a segment of the
television show, "Money,
Power and Influence."
She is producing an
interactive computer video on
bridge with multi-graphics,
where she will be able to
respond to moves. Ms. Radin
wants to educate people about
bridge. "I'm an ambassador
for bridge all over the

Museum Judaica
Is Stolen
•
New York (JTA) — The
World Jewish Congress has
sounded an international
alert to antiques dealers,
pawnbrokers and the gen-
eral public to be on the
lookout for priceless items
stolen from the Jewish Mu-
seum in Johannesburg.
They include irreplaceable
religious artifacts rescued
from Nazi Germany during
World War II.
The WJC was informed of
the theft by Seymour
Kopelowitz, national direc-
tor of the South African
Board of Jewish Deputies.
He said the thieves broke
in and smashed glass display
cases. Employees coming to
work discovered the theft.
The WJC called on dealers
and the public to contact the
police if they are offered
anything which might have
come from the museum.
The items include silver
crowns and breastplates
used to adorn the Torah
scrolls, antique silver spice
boxes, pointers and
candelabras used on Chanu-
kah, and antique hand-
written marriage contracts.
"The collection represents
all facets of our Jewish
heritage and, in purely edu-
cational terms, can never be
compensated for," Mr.
Kopelowitz said.
