America, will discuss the
book Chutzpah by Alan M.
Dershowitz. Mr. Dershowitz is
a Harvard law professor, ap-
pellate lawyer, and a defender
of individual rights.

Gillian Martin Sorensen,
president of the National
Conference of Christians and
Jews, will speak noon Oct. 16
at the Radisson Hotel Pon-
chartrain at a luncheon
celebrating the 50th anniver-
sary of the local affiliate, the
Greater Detroit Interfaith
Round Table.
Ms. Sorensen is best known
for her work with the United
Nations. She is a member of
the Council on Foreign Rela-
tions, the Foreign Policy
Association, and the Women's
Forum.
The luncheon is hosted by
the Women's Division of the
Greater Detroit Interfaith
Round Table. The public is
invited.

Donor Luncheon
Temple Israel Sisterhood
will present "Masquerade of
Fashion" as the theme for
their annual Donor Luncheon
and Fashion Show 11:30 a.m.
Oct. 16 at the temple.
Jacobson's of Birmingham
will present clothing for even-
ing and holiday wear. There
will be boutiques featuring
jewelry and merchandise
from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Door
prizes will be given out dur-
ing the afternoon.
