Bloomfield, died Sept. 24.
He was the founder and
owner since 1983 of L.S. Steel
Corp. in Detroit, but had been
in the steel business since
1960. He had a steel
warehouse supplying steel for
auto related industry. Mr.
Stager was a second degree
Mason, a 35-year member of
Temple Emanu-El and was
Edgewood Country Club
seniors champion in 1990.
He leaves his wife, Ber-
nadene; daughters and sons-
in-law, Amy and Stephen
Scapelliti of Bloomfield
Township, Patricia and Gary
Blackman of Chicago, Ill.;
. son, Jonathan of Beverly
Hills, Mich; father, Sol;
brother and sister-in-law,
Norman and Adele of Birm-
ingham; sister, Phyllis
Kellman of West Bloomfield;
one grandson.

brothers and a sister-in-law,

Southfield died Sept. 22. She
was a social work professor
emeritus at Wayne State
University, and was formerly
a social worker with the
Jewish Family and Children's
Service. She wrote many ar-
ticles and pioneered social
workers working with physi-
cians' offices and co-authored
Fundamentals of Family
Counselling.
She was a member of the
National Association for
Social Workers, vice president
of the Southfield Chapter of
