tion with Rhythm Nation
Productions, will hold the
final ALLEY JAM concert
5:30 and 8 p.m. Sept. 26 on
the 4th level outdoor terrace
of Trappers Alley.
In addition to the music,
ALLEY JAM also will feature
an all-you-can-eat buffet of
Greek food from Pegasus
restaurant. There is a charge.

Cantor Gail Hirschenfang
will perform at the opening
meeting of the Music Study
Club 1 p.m. Sept. 24 at the
Birmingham Temple. There is
a charge which will include
dessert served at noon
preceding the concert.
Gail Hirschenfang is cantor
of Temple Beth El in Birm-
ingham. She is one of the first
invested women cantors in
the United States, graduating
from the Hebrew Union Col-
lege of Sacred Music in 1976.
In 1981, she received her
Master of Sacred Music from
the same institution.
She was the first Reform
cantor to give a concert dur-
ing the gala opening week of
the newly established Jewish
C _ ultural Center in Moscow.
Accompanying Ms.
Hirschenfang will be Dr. Gale
Kramer. Dr. Kramer holds
degrees from Oberlin College
and Syracuse University, as
well as a Doctor of Music Arts
from the University of
Michigan. He is the organist
at Temple Beth El.
