enrolled in Emory's medical

Casual Dining at Popular Prices in an Intimate Cafe Setting
"My community is very
important to me — it's like
family," he said. "It's been a
very positive experience."
To encourage others to
work for the benefit of an
entire community, Dr.
Shulman set up a special
fund in honor of the 50th
anniversary of his parents,
Israel "Sonnie" and Mary
Shulman of Washington,
D.C.
"We've set up a fund at
their synagogue, which an-
nually recognizes with a
cash award a member of the
youth group who has con-
tributed significantly to the
community," Dr. Shulman
explained. Modestly
downplaying the national
recognition he has received
for his research in hyperten-
sion, Dr. Shulman summed
up his versatile experiences.
"I think that I will con-
tinue to do research, to teach
and to write," he said. "I en-
joy the 'process' to getting
there." ❑
