Craft Show
The Rainbow Connection, a
Michigan non-profit organiza-
tion that grants wishes to
children with life-threatening
illnesses, is looking for quali-
ty crafters for their first an-
nual Rainbow Connection
craft show.
The show will be 10 a.m.-4
p.m. Nov. 16 at Clawson
Church of Christ, 456 East
Fourteen Mile Road, Clawson.

ZOA Elects
Anne Silver
Anne Gonte Silver was
elected the first woman presi-
dent of the Zionist Organiza-
tion of America's Metropoli-
tan Detroit District.
Mrs. Silver, a probate at-
torney, has been a member
and active fund-raiser for the
Zionist Organization for over
40 years, and an activist in a
number of other Jewish
organizations as well. She is
a past president of Women of
Maimonides Medical Society
Auxiliary as well as an ad-
ministrative board member of
the Jewish National Fund.
Elected as vice presidents
were Morris Baker, James
Hack, Dr. Jerome Kaufman,
George Mann and Dr. Leon
Warshay. Ezekiel Leikin was
named executive vice presi-
dent; John O'Neill, secretary;
and Eleanor Hack, treasurer.
Abraham Burnstein was
named chairman of the
finance committee.
Elected new board members
are David Cohen, Mr. and
Mrs. Franklin Ellias, Mr. and
Mrs. Richard Emmer, Joseph
Feldman, Sharon Goldstein,
Ruben Isaacs, Nathan Lipson
(Ann Arbor), Shirley
Saltzman, David Victor and
Dr. Robert Wolf. Dr. Sidney
Leib, a past president, was
the installing officer. Outgo-
ing president, Rabbi M.
Robert Syme, was named
chairman of the executive
committee.
