Thomas Neumann
Killed In Crash

Thomas Neumann, a
26-year-old pilot training to
fly for Jetstream Inc. of
Detroit, died July 22 aboard
a jet crash at Detroit City
Airport.
According to an article in
the Detroit News, Mr.
Neumann, who had just mov-
ed to Detroit from Baltimore,
aspired to fly for the Israeli
air force. The article said Mr.
Neumann was hired by
Jetstream last month and
was observing the flight.
Mr. Neumann is survived
by his parents, Isadore and
Maxine of Baltimore; sister,
Hilda of Baltimore; grand-
mother, Mary Feinstein.
Burial and interment will
take place in Baltimore.

Shirley Gold, 65, a radio
and television actress, of Far-
mington Hills, died July 22.
Mrs. Gold started her career
on the radio shows of "The
Lone Ranger," "The Green
Hornet" and "The Call of the
Yukon." She taught in
Southfield for 12 years. Mrs.
Gold was active with many
Detroit area charity organiza-
tions, especially ORT.
She leaves her husband,
Jack; daughter and son-in-
law, Patricia and Andrew
Freedman of New York City;
sons and daughters-in-law,
Robert and Daina of In-
dianapolis, William and Gail
of Beverly Hills; brother and
sister-in-law, J. Leonard and
Virginia Hyman; one grand-
son.

Bloomfield, died July 12.
Mr. Rowe was a director of
research and development for
the Quanex Corp., a director
of American Society of Non
Destructive Testing,
technology committee for
West Bloomfield Schools,
chairman of West Bloomfield
Planning Commission, chair-
man of the board of In-
tegrated Financial Services
Group and a member of Op-
tomists Club of West
Bloomfield.
He leaves his wife, Betty;
daughter and son-in-law, Lin-
da and Mike Mickelson of
West BLoomfield; son and
daughter-in-law, Steven and
Mary of West Bloomfield;
mother, Irma of Southfield;
five grandchildren.
