State of Michigan is a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Our
hospital is also certified by the State for the transport of critically
ill newborns.

ric clients such as women who experience early labor, diabetes and
women with elevated blood pressure.

Interpreters

Alternative Birth Setting

This program offers clients who qualify the unique experience of labor,
delivery and recovery in the same special room.

High Risk Pregnancy Program

Sinai Hospital is seeking
volunteers to act as language
interpreters for Russian
Jewish immigrants who
receive medical treatment at
the Detroit-based hospital.
Volunteers work only a few
hours weekly in the program
and are scheduled a week
prior to assignment by
Language Interpretation Pro-
gram (LIP) Chairperson May
Nosanchuk. Volunteers must
be fluent in Russian or Yid-
dish. Jewish Family Service
(JFS) will provide transporta-
tion to Sinai for interested
volunteers who live within
the Greenfield and 10 Mile
Road area of Southfield and
who do not drive.
