FRIDAY, JUNE 7, 1991

The Agency for Jewish
Education Nursery School
will have a special class for
children who are going to
public school morning
kindergarten this fall.
The class will meet five
afternoons a week. These
children will be able to come
to the AJE for lunch and stay
the afternoon. Class sizes will
be limited to eight children.
The program will focus on
first grade readiness skills in
language arts, math, science
and social studies along with
hands-on experiences, special
field trips, and creative play.
Since the Agency for Jewish
Education is located in South-
field, children in the South-
field public schools may be
able to get bus transportation
from their public school to our
school at 11:30 a.m. Parents
should inquire.
By offering this program we
are hoping to serve working
parents and provide
enriching secular and Judaic
experiences for Jewish
children.
The summer program will
be June 24-Aug. 17. This pro-
gram is for children 18
months-5 years. There will be
water play, arts and crafts,
cooking, songs and outdoor
fun, all with an experienced

staff. The nursery also is of-
fering extended hours.
The regular nursery school
offers a pre-school program
with a variety of experiences
for the young child. The
nursery school will have
classes for children 18
months-5 years this fall, two,
three and five full or half-day
classes. We offer extended
hours before and after school
and a lunch program.
There are parent-toddler
and "by myself' classes. The
program includes field trips
to places of general and
Jewish interest. Emphasis on
math and reading readiness
are part of the program.
For program information,
call Carol Gale, 356-7378 or
354-1050.
