Beth El will recognize and
honor the Reform Jewish day
school with a Yavneh Shabbat
May 3. Students will par-
ticipate in the service and
parents and staff will be in
attendance.
Yavneh will have an open
house the evening of May 14
in the Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center. Dr. Joan
Firestone, early childhood
specialist — Oakland County
Intermediate School District,
will speak about how young
children learn best. The
teaching staff will
demonstrate hands-on lessons
with parents.
Students' Hebrew mastery
will be celebrated May 17 at
Yavneh with a Torah Party,
Siyum Kitah Alef and
Zmriyah.

May 31 at Temple Shir
