Central Region conference to
be held at the Troy Marriott
Conference Center April
26-28. The three-day con-
ference, "Image in Vogue,"
will present issues of
relevance to Jewish women
today.
Ms. Soberman's talk, 9:15
a.m. April 28, will be follow-
ed by a panel of women dis-
cussing the changing roles of
women. Panel members in-
clude Michigan State Repre-
sentative Maxine Berman,
Temple Beth El Cantor Gail
Hirschenfang, Carlson Travel
District Manager Annette
Langwald, and B'nai B'rith
Women National President
and certified travel consul-
tant Harriet Horwitz.
Representative Berman is
one of 18 women in the
100-member House of Repre-
sentatives. Cantor Hirschen-
fang's profession is tradi-

and found herself in another
male preserve, conducting

The Sisterhood of Temple
Beth El will hold their an-
nual Spring Happening 10
a.m. April 29 at the temple.
The day-long event will begin
with boutique shopping and
will feature more than a
dozen merchants.
The noon luncheon will be
followed by a "Kaleidoscope of
Fashion."
Proceeds from this year's
program will be directed to
the World Union for Pro-
gressive Judaism, aimed at
aiding the resettlement of
Soviet Jews into Israel.
