ophonist, and Kenneth Wolin,
percussionist, will perform at
the general meeting of the
Music Study Club of Metropo-
litan Detroit 1 p.m. Mar. 19 at
the Birmingham Temple. The
event is open to the public.
There is a charge which in-
cludes a dessert served at
12:15.
Christopher Arent is pursu-
ing a master's degree at
Michigan State University.
He has performed as a
member of the Michigan Sax-
ophone Quartet, the St.
Joseph Municipal Band and
the Lansing Symphony
Orchestra.
Kenneth Wolin received his
undergraduate degree from
Oberlin Conservatory. He was
one of the students chosen to
represent the United States
as a member of the Soviet-
American Youth Orchestra
which toured Russia and the
United States recently. He
has performed as a member of
the Flint, Ann Arbor and
Lansing symphonies.
Both Mr. Arent and Mr.
Wolin are scholarship reci-
pients of the Music Study
Club of Metropolitan Detroit.

Weekend Pops

The Detroit Symphony Or-
chestra will feature pops ar-
ranger and conductor Richard
Hayman for Weekender Pops
concerts on 8:30 p.m. March
8-9 and 3:30 p.m. and 7:30
p.m. March 10 at Orchestra
Hall.
Joining Mr. Hayman and
the DSO will be the Dallas
Brass.
The 7:30 p.m. March 10 con-
cert will assist Michigan
families of military personnel
involved in Operation Desert
Storm.
