The Hillel Foundation at
the University of Michigan,
Ann Arbor, will sponsor the
following activities.
The Jewish Law Students
Union will present Dr. Daniel
Sinclair 8 p.m. Feb. 19 at
Hillel. Dr. Sinclair will lec-
ture on "Terminating the Life
of a Critically Ill Patient in
Jewish Law." Dr. Sinclair is
a legal ethicist, a senior
research fellow at the In-
stitute for Research in Jewish
Law at the Hebrew Universi-
ty and a lecturer in Jewish
Law both at the Tel Aviv
University and the Pardes
Institute.
The Judaic Studies Faculty
Colloquium will sponsor a
talk by Dr. Daniel Sinclair, on
"Recent Developments in the
Application of Jewish Law in
the State of Israel" 4 p.m. Feb.
20 in the Freize building. Dr.
Sinclair will trace the history
of the application of Jewish
law in the legal system of the
State of Israel. Family law in
Israeli jurisprudence, recent
developments relating to
women's rights, bioethics, the
Law of Return and other
areas of law will be discussed.
