Attic Theatre on Grand
Boulevard this month has
quite a track record of
previous stars . . . The funny,
fast-paced comedy group
founded almost 30 years ago
as an improvising nightclub
act counts career-beginners
like Alan Alda, Ed Asner,
Joan Rivers, Bill Murray,
David Steinberg, Mike
Nichols, John Belushi and
others.

Attic Theatre perfor-
mances, for which reserva-
tions are strongly recom-
mended, will be Feb. 22 and
23 at 7:30 and 10 p.m. and
Feb. 24, 7 p.m.

Detroit High School of Com-
merce that used to be will
have its shindig for '37, '38
and '39 classes May 5 at
Kingsley Inn . . . Contact

NEW EXECUTIVE chef
at Machus Sly Fox is Martin
Singer . . . In his new capaci-
ty, Martin has created a menu
combining longtime favorites
with Tapas fare for the casual
part of Sly Fox called Sally's
Saloon . . . Sally's Tapas
menu was designed for those
who want to enjoy different
small courses and various
tastes.
IF FOLKS can't get away
for that cruise this year, or
wondered what it would be
like to go on one with all that
food staring them in the face,
Novi Hilton on Haggerty and
Eight Mile has come up with
the next best thing.
Its cafe has been transform-
ed into a fantasy cruise ship
dubbed the "S.S. Novi Hilton"
every Friday from 6-10 p.m.
. . . visiting exotic ports of call
and offering diners entertain-
ment and food and drink of
the region.
The first port of call, Mex-
ico, is being visited through
Feb. 22 . . . Cross over the
gang plank and, Ole!,
beneath the thatched but is
an array of south-of-the-
border culinary delights.
The cantina, complete with
Mexican guitars, serves up
libations including Margue-
ritas and the Cancun Kicker.
