honeymooners, who are usually
looking for less expensive, seven-day
vacations, couples with a sense of
adventure might enjoy these unusual
trips.
Princess Cruises offer three Alaskan
itineraries and 37 different land pack-
ages. The seven-day Voyage of the
Glaciers originates in Vancouver, and
sails the entire 1,000 mile Inside
Passage to Ketchikan, Juneau, Skag-
way and Glacier Bay. Alaskan cruises
are only offered from May to
September, and the fares are
considerably more expensive than
those for Caribbean cruises.
European cruises afford travelers
the luxury of visiting numerous Old
World sights in one vacation. Royal
Caribbean, Royal Cruise Line, and
Princess Cruises all offer exciting
European voyages. Mediterranean
cruises often originate in Lisbon,
Portugal, and sail for 12 days to ports
in France, Spain, Italy, Yugoslavia, Mo-
rocco and Greece.
Scandinavian and Russian cruises
begin and end in London, and visit
Finland, Denmark, Sweden, The Neth-
erlands, Norway and Russia.

Short Cruises &
Land Packages

The three- and four-day Bahama
cruise market is also popular among
honeymooners. New, upscale ships
like Royal Caribbean's Nordic
Empress and Carnival's Fantasy have
begun offering the shorter cruises to
the Bahamas, often in combination
with land packages in Miami, Fort
Lauderdale or Orlando.
Carnival's 70,000-ton Fantasy, the
largest vessel in the short cruise
market, leaves Miami on Friday and
returns Monday morning. This sche-
dule is often difficult for
honeymooners because most
weddings take place on the weekend.
However, four-day cruises are more
convenient for honeymooners. These
cruises generally sail from Miami on
Monday afternoon and return Friday
morning, leaving honeymooners a
weekend to spend in Florida.
Admiral Cruises offers three- and
four-night cruises to Nassau, Freeport
and their private island, Coco Cay, on
