tion, is planning a winter
workout program 7 p.m. Feb.
3 at CMI in Southfield.
The workshop on self-
defense, sponsored by Hakol's
social action committee, will
feature kaerobics, a combina-
tion of karate and aerobics.
Ken Levy, a fitness instructor
at CMI Health and Tennis
Club who developed
kaerobics, will lead the
workshop.
Workout participants are
asked to bring kosher canned
goods for Yad Ezra, the kosher
food pantry.

B'nai B'rith women will pre-
sent an "Evening of Fashion"
7:30 p.m. Jan. 31 at Con-
gregation Beth Shalom.
Children's Crossing,
Cocktails, Jeans of Bloom-
field and Nuance located in
Crosswinds Mall will provide
the fashions during the show
followed by a light refresh-

ty Planning Showcase 10
a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 3, at Temple
Beth El. Forty-eight ex-
hibitors will demonstrate how
to plan the perfect party dur-
ing the daylong event which
is free and open to the public.
Caterers, florists, car-
toonists, talent agencies, ren-
tal firms, limousine services,
party planners and candy
makers will be present.
There will be suggestions
for do-it-yourself party
planning as well as op-
portunities to get estimates
on the cost of more complex
services. There will be an op-
portunity to sample cakes,
candies and other menu
items. No reservations are
necessary.
