Two teams that were one
team last year will be seeking
the final playoff spot in the B
Division of the Metropolitan
Detroit B'nai B'rith Men's
Volleyball League Jan. 13.
Fifth-place Brotherhood No.
1, which defeated fourth-place
Brotherhood No. 4 last week
to give both teams identical
29-46 won-lost records, plays
last-place Marshall while No.
4 takes its chances against
third-ranked Detroit No. 1.
If both teams, which corn-
prised Brotherhood No. 1 last
year, remain tied after Sun-
day's games, then
Brotherhood No. 4 gets the
playoff spot by virtue of its
owning one more victory over
No. 1 this season.
Brotherhood No. 1 split in-
to two teams in an attempt to
escape a spate of fourth and
fifth-place finishes in recent
years, according to Marty
Melton, league commissioner.
Sunday's games begin at
8:30 a.m. at Oakland Com-
munity College-Orchard
Ridge. Playoffs begin Jan. 20.
The standings:
