JVS Building Gets
Windows Repaired

eaky windows should
soon be a thing of the
past at Jewish Voca-
tional Services.
For years, the building has
suffered from leaking
windows, said Al Ascher,
JVS executive director.
After trying a variety of
cures without success, the
builder decided only major
surgery would work.
So for the past few weeks,
workers have taken down
the orange panels along the
building's windows, put in
additional sealant and
replaced the panels, Mr.
Ascher said. The builder is
doing the work at no cost to
JVS and should be finished
soon, he added. ❑

Our OPL/Solidarity Mission is more than
just a tour, It is a journey of discovery of
both Poland and Israel. You will see the
magnitude of the once-flourishing Jewish
culture of our ancestry in Poland, and
bear witness to the tragic fate of Europe-
an Jews. In the past, the Jews had no
country they could call their own — but
now we have a country to return to, In Is-
rael, the JNF is laying the groundwork for
housing, industry, agriculture and
recreation.
On the OPL/Solidarity Mission, you will en-
counter the reality of life in Israel today
and help build its future. From the mo-
ment you join the group at the airport you
will sense a common purpose as you be-
gin an experience that will stay with you
for the rest of your life,
Although you'll be able to compare
notes with your friends who may also
have travelled to Israel, you'll have so
much more to share than lists of land-
marks and restaurants. You will gain your
perspective through the eyes of the JNF.
You will experience a modern, democra-
tic nation prospering on land that JNF
has redeemed for the Jewish people. We
assure you that you will return renewed,
enlightened and inspired. Please join us!
