Rabbi Silberberg
To Give Lecture
For those students who
have progressed beyond alef-
bet, Temple Beth El will offer
a 12-week class in Inter-
mediate Hebrew at 11:15 a.m.
beginning Jan. 13. It will
focus on the Reform prayer-
book, "The Gates of Prayer."
Temple Beth El will also
present its Adult Bar/Bat
Mitzvah Class begining Jan.
7. The class represents a two-
year commitment. The first
year, running from Jan.
through Dec., will encompass
a weekly two-hour session at
7 p.m. During the first hour,
participants will study
Hebrew. The second hour will
be devoted to Judaic studies.
There is a fee. Both classes
meet at the temple.
Bais Chabad Torah Center
plans a lecture on contem-
porary Jewish law at 8 p.m.

which will take a group of
new immigrants to spend the

Center To Offer
Magic Class
Bernie Stevens is teaching
a magic class to children ages
6 to 12 at the Maple-Drake
building. These classes will
meet on Mondays beginning
Jan. 7 at 6:30 p.m.
The students will learn to
make objects appear and
vanish, to defy the laws of
gravity, to create a balloon
sculpture and much more.
