tional Marionette Theatre at
Oakland University 10 a.m.

Hall. The program is best

Hilberry Theatre
Goes West

Farther West, a romance by
Canadian playwright John
Murrell, will open at the
Hilberry Theatre Nov. 23 and
run in repertory through Feb.

1.

Farther West goes back one
hundred years to a time when
most women had two career
choices: teaching or prostitu-
tion. In this play is May
Buchanan, an uncompromis-
ing woman of great passion
caught in an uncompromising
world of men's rules. Her
quest for liberation takes her
farther west in search of a
place where there are no
rules, no laws, no judges. In-
nocence meets corruption,
freedom meets obsession, love
meets death in this play of
human wills.
Audiences are advised that
Farther West contains adult
subject matter. For ticket in-
formation, call the Hilberry
Theatre, 577-2972.
