Support Groups
Aid Seniors
The Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center's Senior
Adult Department offers two
peer support groups for adults
with vision loss and hearing
loss.
These groups provide oppor-
tunities for socialization in a
comfortable environment
while sharing concerns, infor-
mation and coping strategies.
Recreational activities and
outings and educational pro-
grams are also planned.
The group for adults with
vision loss meets 1 p.m. on the
second Thursday of each
month in the library. The
group for adults with hearing
loss meets 1 p.m. every other
Tuesday in Room 239.
Transportation for residents
of West Bloomfield and
Bloomfield Township may be
arranged through the
Center's arrangement with
the S.M.A.R.T. Connection
Service by calling Margo
Weitzer at 661-1000, Ext. 314,
at least one week in advance.
Transportaiton for residents
of surrounding communities
may also be available.
