Financial Seminar

"The Independent Woman
as Choreographer" is the title
of the second luncheon pro-
gram on financial planning
and charitable giving spon-
sored by the Women's Endow-
ment Committee of the
Federated Endowment Fund
noon, Oct. 19 at Adat Shalom
Synagogue.
The seminar is part of the
three-part series, "Life Is Not
a Dress Rehearsal." Linda
Wasserman Aviv, Shirley
Harris and Donald Lansky
will focus on changes in the
Social Security and health
care benefits laws, their im-
plications for families, and
financial protection through
estate and charitable
planning.
Mrs. Aviv, a tax attorney
specializing in estate plann-
ing, was a Young Adult Divi-
sion Women's Allied Jewish
Campaign chairman and
served as YAD liaison to the
boards of Women's Division
and Sinai Hospital. She is a
member of the Federated En-
dowment Fund's Professional
Advisory Committee.
Mrs. Harris is a Chartered
Life Underwriter who has
presented many seminars on
health care, investments and
life insurance. A past
Women's Division president
and campaign chairman, she
sits on Federation's board and
is a vice president of United
Jewish Charities.
Mr. Lansky, a tax specialist,
has written on taxes and
retirement for the Michigan
