SMOOTHER HOUSE SHOWINGS

QUESTION: Do you have
any suggestions on how to
make your home look its best
during showings?
ANSWER: The buyer has to
LIKE WHAT HE SEES.
Minor signs of wear should be
corrected. A few dollars spent
touching up the front door or
replacing worn trim or remov-
ing rust stains can add hun-
dreds of dollars in sales appeal.
Storage space should look,
spacious. Toss out or sell all
the junk you've been hoarding
in closets, attic, basement or
'garage. You'll still be left with
plenty. Be sure to stack or hang
them in a manner that looks
like you have room to spare.
Don't give prospects the idea
that space is at a premium in
your home.

IN ORDER TO SELL your
home, the buyer must like
what he sees. Here are tips
for better showings.

Tickets To Dance

Singles planning to attend
the annual Break-The-Fast
Dance, scheduled this year '
for Sept. 29, are being urged
to get their tickets in ad-

"Having the tickets in ad-

having to stand in the long
lines with those needing to
buy tickets," said Leanie
Gunsberg, Jewish Commun-
ity Center singles director.
There is a charge for the
tickets, which go on sale at
the Maple-Drake JCC Sept.
25. Call the singles office at
661-1000, ext. 347, for in-
formation.
Mrs. Gunsberg said about
800 Detroit-area Jewish sin-
gles 21 and over are ex-
pected to attend the 9:30
p.m. dance which tradi-
tionally follows the conclu-
sion of Yom Kippur. It will
be held in Schiffman Hall at
the Maple-Drake Building
and will include light foods
and a cash bar, with music
provided by a disc jockey.
