its 1990-91 Guest Artist
Series Oct. through Apri.
The Series will open Oct. 19
with the harmonies of Sweet
Honey In The Rock, an inter-
nationally aclaimed a capella
group — a quintet of black
women.
Banu Gibson and the New
Orleans Hot Jazz Orchestra
will perform Oct. 20-21,
specializing in Dixieland.
Folksinger John Prine will
appear Oct. 25-26. The Flying
Karamozov Brothers will per-
form Oct. 27. In addition to
juggling, they wing and play
a variety of musical
instruments.
John Patterson returns to
the Attic in his newest
presentation, When the Col-
ored Band Goes Marchin, us-
ing a combination of acting,
singing, dancing and mime,
on a journey through the
American struggle for demo-
cracy in three generations of
prose and poetry by
African-Americans.
The Chenille Sisters will
appear Dec. 14-16.
Other performers include:
Second City Touring Com-
pany, Feb. 22-24; jazz vocalist
Betty Carter, March 1-3; the
Royal Canadian Air Farce,
April 26-28 and Dizzy
Gillespie, May 2-4.
