he Greater Detroit
Chapter of Hadassah
began the 1990-1991
programming year with a
luncheon, fashion show and
boutique shopping at Con-
gregation Shaarey Zedek on
Sept. 11. Some 425 members
attended the event, "Fall
Fashion Fantasy,"which
featured styles from Jacob-
son's.
The crowd enjoyed shopp-
ing at the 32 boutiques
before and after the fashion
show. The boutiques ranged
from handcrafted jewelry to
educational treasures. Some
of the Hadassah supporters
at the event included Patti
Phillips, Diane Klein,
Amy Entin, and Cheryl
Brickner. Anne
Helfman's family was
spotted around Julori Plus,
the jewelry boutique of Lori
Roth and Linda Goodman.
The clan includes: Doris
Paul, Betty, Alissa and
Debby Pianin.
Program Vice President
Nancy Glass was impressed
with the many gift cer-
tificates that retailers do-
nated including the one from
the Hotel Marriott in Boca
Raton.
The afternoon was very
successful. Hadassah receiv-
ed more reservations than
the room could hold. "We
apologize for having to turn
people away,"said Ms.
Glass.
