Some 425 members attended the event, "Fall Fashion Fantasy,"which featured styles from Jacob- son's. The crowd enjoyed shopp- ing at the 32 boutiques before and after the fashion show. The boutiques ranged from handcrafted jewelry to educational treasures. Some of the Hadassah supporters at the event included Patti Phillips, Diane Klein, Amy Entin, and Cheryl Brickner. Anne Helfman's family was spotted around Julori Plus, the jewelry boutique of Lori Roth and Linda Goodman. The clan includes: Doris Paul, Betty, Alissa and Debby Pianin. Program Vice President Nancy Glass was impressed with the many gift cer- tificates that retailers do- nated including the one from the Hotel Marriott in Boca Raton. The afternoon was very successful. Hadassah receiv- ed more reservations than the room could hold. "We apologize for having to turn people away,"said Ms. Glass. JET More than 100 Jewish Ensemble Theater sup- porters gathered at the home of Bud and Dorothy Ger- son for cocktails, conversa- tion and a special ap- pearance by pianist and humorist Leonid Hambro. Some of the JET supporters included Susie and Bob Citrin, Joyce and George Blum, Mary Lou and Mort Zieve, Bluma and Leonard Siegal, Joyce and Albert Feurring, Sydelle and Shel Sonkin and Saul Wineman. New Yorker Nick Calanni, di rector of JET's first 1990-91 season production, The Mer- chant, opening on Oct. 17 at the JCC, was also present. SEPHARDIC CONVENTION Many Detroit area residents particpated in the National Sephardic Conven- tion in Chicago over Labor Day weekend.
