Musical Opens
At Birmingham
-
Singin' In The Rain will
open the 1990-91 Birm-
ingham Theatre season Sept.
1 1- Nov. 4.
The plot recalls how, in the
1920s, the film industry was
turned on its ear when
talkies replaced silent film.
Those actors whose voices
were appealing continued
their career, but what hap-
pened to the gorgeous heroine
whose voice sounded like a
hoot owl screeching or a
moose bellowing?
Tickets are available at the
Birmingham Theatre Box Of-
fice, 644-3533, and at all
Ticketmaster Outlets in-
cluding all Hudson's, Har-
mony House stores and Sound
Warehouse.
