SEMYON VAYSBERG, 79,
of Southfield, died June 1. He
is survived by his wife, Bella;
sons, Jacob of Russia, Mark of
Oak Park, David of Russia
and Alex of Toronto;

sky of Southfield, Naum
Vaysberg of Russia; nine
grandchildren, four great-
grandchildren.

Levi Shapiro, 77, a meat
packer, of Southfield, died
June 2.
Mr. Shapiro was vice presi-
dent of K. Shapiro Inc. and ex-
ecutive vice president of
Detroit Veal and Lamb for 17
years. He retired in 1983. He
immigrated from Poland at
the age of 15.
He lived in Israel for 10
years and was a founder of
Kibbutz Hashoff in Haifa.
He was a member of the
Labor Zionist Organization,
Hashomer Hatzair, Givat
Haviva Foundation of Israel,
Congregation Beth Achim.
Mr. Shapiro leaves his wife,
Esther; sons and daughters-
in-law, Joel and Loraine of
Franklin, Simcha and Carol
of Franklin; daughter and
son-in-law, Judith and Scott
Thomas of Southfield; five
grandchildren.
Corinne Minkin, 62,
Noted Artist
Corinne Wilhelm Minkin,
62, of Southfield, died May
30.
Mrs. Minkin was a
graduate of Meinziger Art
School and the Center for
Creative Studies. She shared
a studio with world renowned
artist Sarkis Sarkisian and
won many awards.
She leaves her husband,
Milton; daughters and a son-
in-law, Margot Gilbert of
Southfield, Arleen and
Robert Kosak of Birm-
ingham; brother and sister-
in-law, Stuart and Nancy
Wilhelm of Farmington Hills;
three grandchildren.
