Levi Shapiro, 77, Meat Packer Levi Shapiro, 77, a meat packer, of Southfield, died June 2. Mr. Shapiro was vice presi- dent of K. Shapiro Inc. and ex- ecutive vice president of Detroit Veal and Lamb for 17 years. He retired in 1983. He immigrated from Poland at the age of 15. He lived in Israel for 10 years and was a founder of Kibbutz Hashoff in Haifa. He was a member of the Labor Zionist Organization, Hashomer Hatzair, Givat Haviva Foundation of Israel, Congregation Beth Achim. Mr. Shapiro leaves his wife, Esther; sons and daughters- in-law, Joel and Loraine of Franklin, Simcha and Carol of Franklin; daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Scott Thomas of Southfield; five grandchildren.
