HARMONIE ORT

The Harmonie ORT
chapter held its fifth
annual fashion show at
Temple Beth El,
attracting 200 patrons.
Some of the fashionable
members who attended
include: Linda Lax, Lisa
Binder, Cathy Cantor,
Marcy Rowe, Val
Ettinger, Francee
Germansky and Jennifer
Lo Patin.

RISING STARS

Roz and Sherm Becker
recently hosted a party at
their store in honor of
world renowned jewelry
designer Robert Lee
Morris. Morris is the
recipient of the first
annual Roz and Sherm
Rising Star award
providing scholarships for
two promising students at
the Center for Creative
Studies. Some of the local
stars that attended the
gala include: Stanley and
Barbara Grandon, Andy
and Steve Migdal, Gail
and Mel Ball, Rhonda
Verona and Tamara
Friedman.

FURNITURE TRADE IN

The husband and wife
team of David Feinstein
and Ann Abrams are
helping Soviet refugees
settle in our area. Until
the end of May, they are
offering a trade-in
allowance of up to $200 on
a furniture purchase at
their store, Brent
Furniture. Brent
Furniture will then make
arrangements to pick up
the donated furniture and
give it to local Russian
families. ❑

Israel Bonds
Hosts Hadass

Ambassador Joseph Ha-
dass, who raised the Israeli
flag at the historic opening of
the Israel Embassy in Cairo
in 1980, will speak at the Pro-
fessional Health Services
Dinner 6 p.m. May 23 in the

The Salvation Army
recently held a fashion
show for 1,000 patrons at
the Ritz Carlton with
media celebrities and
their children. Some of
the celebrity models
included: Don Shane and
his son, Florine Mark
with her mother, daughter
and granddaughter, and
Jackie Gordon with her
grandchildren.
