OF SOUTHFIELD

FREE DINNER

One of Metropolitan Detroit's
Most Beautiful and Exciting
Restaurant-Lounges

Kruse And Muer On Main
with its colorful and quaint
rooms, is a lively place, yet
very intimate and
comfortable.
People are coming from
everywhere to visit
Rochester's newest dining
spot . . . and it's easy to see
why.
GOOD WAITRESS Dept.
. . . Denise Bufalini and
Diane Klamseck . . . at
Dimitri's of Southfield,
Southfield Road north of 10
Mile . . . Hard-working eve-
ning gals who deserve much
commendation for their
friendly ways and efficiency.
TWO GYPSY festivals are
on tap by Billy Rose . . . This
Sunday, 7 p.m., upstairs at
1940 Chop House, 1940 E.
Jefferson, with 20-piece band
plus songsters Enrico LaRic-
ca and Gypsy Emma . . . Call
Billy to see if any tickets are
left . . . 567-1940, or at home,
441-1567 . . . Second is April
28, from 2:30 p.m., in honor of
the late Ziggy Bela, at
Hungarian Hall, W. Jefferson
and West End in old Delray
. . . It'll be with all
Hungarian music by eight
violins, four bass, two guitars,
piano and cymbalum . . . Call
Billy at the numbers above
for tickets.
HE WANTED to come
back to the Detroit area
because it was here that Alan
Gildenberg hoped to some day
fulfill his dream.
Last five years in Chicago,
where Alan sold commodities
for seven years, he has been
telling wife Arlene about
quitting and returning here
to go into the restaurant
business.
The chance comes with
middle-of-June grand opening
of Gildy's in Sugar Tree, Or-
chard Lake Road, north of
Maple.
His partner will be attorney
sister-in-law Suzanne Altman
Gildenberg, who will also
leave her job.
It'll be a high-quality fast-
food operation where the
Chicago hot dog will obtain
more glorification in its
various styles . . . Only 100
percent pure beef Vienna will
be used for the Chicago-style
hot dogs . . . There'll be other
types of sandwiches, a lot of
salads, French fries in
cholesterol-free oil, soups,
Italian beef and skirt steaks.
Gildy's will be a duplication
of the two popular Michael's
eateries in Highland Park,
Ill., that suburb's Stash's and
Chicago's 10 or 12 Irving's.
