At its recognition party
April 1, the Home cited Ella

stein for 2,000 hours of ser-

Historical Groups
Host Conference

A workshop on "Grant Op-
portunities and Funding for
Local Historical Projects" will
be held at 3 p.m. April 6 at
the McGregor Center at
Wayne State University. The
session will focus on how to
most successfully apply for
grants from the Michigan
Council for the Humanities to
put into effect the collection
of local community archival
and historical records.
Lu Ann Webber, program
development officer of the
Michigan Council for the
Humanities, and William
Mulligan, Jr., historical con-
sultant, will speak. The local
history conference, titled
Michigan in Perspective, is co-
sponsored by the leading
historical museums in the
state, academic history
departments of local univer-
sities, and the Jewish
Historical Society.
