SOUTHFIELD

Italian Carry-Out & Restaurant

IT WAS ONCE called
Rodo's Restaurant in the Far-
rell Shopping Center on
Southfield between 12 and
12 1/2 Mile . . . Today, the name
is Pyramid's Cafe & Catering
. . . and the shoppiing center
name has been changed to
Southfield Commons.
Likeable owner is still
Khalil Abadi, who leaves very
little to be desired at his and
wife Zizi's restaurant . . . And
his catering has taken off like
gangbusters . . . at the
restaurant or in various halls
to which he has access.
It is the result of good food
and service and low prices .. .
and the ever-smiling per-
sonalities of Khalil and Zizi.
DID YOU KNOW . . . that
in Lehigh, Neb., it is against
the law to sell doughnut
holes? (Realy!) . . . I didn't
even know there was a
Lehigh, Neb. . . . Wonder if it
is still illegal to buy a glass
of milk in San Francisco? .. .
Time was when it could only
be sold in sealed containers.
HEY, SHOPPERS . . .
Have you been noticing those
unbelievably low prices by
Manager Dennis Barber at
Kroger's in Crosswind's Mall,
Orchard Lake Road and Pine
Lake Road?
The prices are good only at
the West Bloomfield store .. .
It had Pillar Rock tuna, in oil
or water, at 99` a can and pe-
ple bought cartons galore .. .
He brought it back at the 99'
price, but with a limit of six
cans . . . "I want them on
hand for everyone," says Den-
nis, "and a limit was the on-
ly way I could think of."
GAIL POSNER,
registered dietician, will have
another interesting hour-and-
a-half guided grocery store
tour . . . It's Jan. 31, 9:30 a.m.
. . . The tours are currently at
Shopping Center Market on
Maple Road . . . but other
locations may be added. Fee is
$15 . . . Gail has Posner
Nutrition Counseling on
Telegraph in Southfield .. .
Folks learn selection of nutri-
tion food products and how to
read food labels properly .. .
plus opportunities to taste
new products and receive low
calorie, low cholesterol and
low sodium recipes. ❑
