Will Host Speaker

One of the nation's top legal
scholars will discuss the im-
pact of recent U.S. Supreme
Court decisions on the Jewish
community at 11 a.m. Nov. 19
at the home of Fredric J. and
Lucille Ruby.
The lecture by Nathan
Lewin is part of the Irwin I.:
Cohn Memorial Lecture
Series in Talmudic Law spon-
sored by the Lubavitch
Foundation.
Lewin has represented
many issues and causes affec-
ting the Jewish community.
He also has served as presi
dent of the Jewish Communi-
ty Council of Greater
Washington.

Lubavitch Dinner
Features Concert

A concert of Jewish music
will highlight the fourth an-
nual Lubavitch Foundation
dinner Nov. 30 at the Westin
Hotel.
The first half of the concert
by the Michigan Symphony
Orchestra, conducted by
Robert Vodnoy, will include
modern and early Jewish
works.
In addition, the orchestra
will play the work of 15-year-
old prodigy, Dalit Hadass
Warshaw. The piece to be per-
formed was composed when
Dalit was 9-years-old.
The second half of the con-
cert will feature Chasidic
music entirely, including
original arrangements.
The speaker will be Elie
Wiesel.
