Since the election, Malek
has been part of John
Sununu's inner circle, a group
that also includes Kenneth
M. Duberstein, former chief of
staff to Ronald Reagan.

AJCongress Publishes
Pro-Choice Guide

The media may be in over-
drive on the question of Presi-
dent George • Bush's "war on
drugs," but the real war in
Washington continues to
center on the question of
abortion.$ In recent days, the
National Council of Jewish
Women has assembled a six-
part guide to the choice issue,
including "how-to" guides for
pro-choice activists. The
American Jewish Congress
has been running adver-
tisements around the country

and is publithhing an advocacy
guide.
And the Religious Action
Center of Reform Judaism
has distributed a "rabbis
packet;' which includes a
basic position of the Reform
position on abortion, ideas for
local action and sample let-
ters to Congress. Unlike its
usual mailings to rabbis, the
RAC has customized the
packets to include informa-
tion about local and state
abortion battles.
