Garden Room Opening In November

Think this was going to stop
these gals? . . . No way, Jose!
. . . As the guests attended
the luncheon, the five gals
swam merrily in front of them
. . . as if to say, "Eat your
hearts out!"
Local delicacies were for
dinner at Malcolm Forbe's
party that evening.
And American delicacies
were for the eyes . . . Like
Elizabeth 113.ylor, whose face,
Linda says, is still so very
pretty, wearing a fall inter-
twined with her own hair
almost reaching down to her
waist . . . She wore an
emerald green Moroccan caf-
tan and the 40-carat diamond
ring Richard Burton had
given her.
Barbara Walters, looking
beautiful, says Linda, wore a
Mary McFadden designer
gown as she held the arm of
her husband, Mery Adelson,
chairman of Lorimar
Iblepictures.
Many famous fashion
designers were also in atten-
dance . . . Oscar de la Renta,
Arnold Scaasi, whose real
name is Arnold Isaacs (Scaasi
spelled backwards), and more.
First course at the party
was pastilla, which most peo-
ple didn't know what they
were eating until later being
told . . . It's pigeon pie, which,
Linda says, looked like a flaky.
pie with powdered sugar on
top . . . Her husband, Barry,
had warned her ahead of time
what pastilla was .. . No, Lin-
da didn't have any . . . Had
Barry been there, he would
have headed for the nearest,
Tangiers McDonald's for a few
"sliders" . . . right down his
alley.
Next were whole baby
lambs, chicken with lemon
and olives and summer fruit .
and birthday cake as Beverly
Sills sang "Happy Birthday!"
to Malcolm Forbes.
Everywhere they went, says
Linda, there were gifts . . . in
the room was a basket of
Estee Lauder perfumes and
accessories, fruit basket,
champagne, a beautiful
leather brief case embossed
with "Malcolm Forbes' 70th
Birthday" and his new book,
More Than I Dreamed.
All were given gold Master-
Cards that read, "Malcolm
Forbes' 70th Birthday."
Boarding the chartered 747
plane that took them home,
each guest received a picnic
basket from LeCirque, and on
the plane, all were given lit-
tle cases of perfume, slippers
and eye shades for sleeping

Kids love the fantastic flavor of
Gregory's Flame-Broiled Chicken and
it's so much better for them than
burgers and fries, or fried chicken. We
marinate our chicken, then flame-broil
it on our gas-fired grills. Add mashed
potatoes, beans, garden salad, cole slaw,
potato salad (choose any two), and you -
have a well-balanced, nutritious meal
that's scrump-dilly-umptious!! The
price is right and the service is fast!
