for 7:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at the
Jewish Community Center.
The class, "Goals/The Jewish
Pleasure Principle," is the se-
cond of a four-part series on
love, sex and marriage. The
public is invited at no charge.

Slates Hayride

Thmple Beth Jacob of Pon-
tiac will hold a hayride and
square dance Sept. 17 at
Upland Hills Farm.
The festivities will begin at
3 p.m. and are planned for the

Fund To Aid
Ethiopian Jews

New York (JTA) A fund
has been established for
Ethiopian Jews in memory of
Ivan Tillem, the Jewish
philanthropist who was
recently killed in the plane
crash that also took the life of
Rep. Mickey Leland , D-Texas.
The Ivan Tillem Memorial
Fund, established by the
North American Conference
on Ethiopian Jewry, will be
used to provide food, medical
supplies and other necessary
aid to Jewish families in
Ethiopia.
Tillem, who was 32 and a
member of the advisory board
of NACOEJ, was an invest-
ment banker, lawyer,
publisher and community
leader. He became actively in-
volved in helping the black
Jews of Ethiopia after
witnessing their desperate
situation in 1986.
