host Rabbi Asher Resnick,
senior lecturer of philosophy
at San Francisco Hebrew
Academy, 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
He will speak on "Commit-
ment: What It Means, How to
Recognize It."
The lecture is co-sponsored
by and will be held in the
Jewish Community Center in
West Bloomfield. There is no
charge and refreshments will
be served.

Comedy Castle
Evening Slated

Comic Rich Jeni will enter-
tain when the Jewish Com-
munity Center Singles (25-45)
visit the Comedy Castle in
Berkley at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 22.
Carpools will leave from the
Maple/Drake Building at. 7:30
p.m.
Women will be admitted for
half the cover charge. Reser-

Parry Sound
Weekend Set

A carpool is being organiz-
ed for Detroit area Jewish
singles wishing to spend the
Labor Day weekend with
their counterparts from other
cities at Maple Lake Resort
near Parry Sound in Ontario.
The Sept. 1-4 weekend is
under the auspices of the
Jewish Camp Council of
lbronto. There is a charge,
which includes resort lodge
accommodations, meals and
full use of all facilities.

relating effectively will be of-

ly while also being heard and
