senior lecturer of philosophy
at San Francisco Hebrew
Academy, 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
He will speak on "Commit-
ment: What It Means, How to
Recognize It."
The lecture is co-sponsored
by and will be held in the

Comedy Castle
Evening Slated
Comic Rich Jeni will enter-
tain when the Jewish Com-
munity Center Singles (25-45)
visit the Comedy Castle in
Berkley at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 22.

Maple/Drake Building at. 7:30
p.m.

Parry Sound
Weekend Set
A carpool is being organiz-
ed for Detroit area Jewish
singles wishing to spend the
Labor Day weekend with
their counterparts from other
cities at Maple Lake Resort
near Parry Sound in Ontario.
The Sept. 1-4 weekend is
under the auspices of the
Jewish Camp Council of
lbronto. There is a charge,
which includes resort lodge
accommodations, meals and
full use of all facilities.

A workshop on the art of
relating effectively will be of-
fered from 7:15 to 9:30 p.m.
Aug. 22 at the SPACE office in
Southfield.
Barbara Lewis, a Birm-
ingham psychologist, will
lead the workshop, which will
explore ways to express feel-
ings and listen more effective-
ly while also being heard and
understood by loved ones.

Stuart Martin was incor-
