ake Living couldn't be better,"
believes one Oakland County
couple whose lovely home sits
nestled between a variety of
trees and dark blue waters.
"Living on a lake in the summer
is wonderful as expected, but the
winter is a fabulous surprise with a
starker beauty," said the owners.
The residents chose West Bloom-
field builders Nosan and Cohen to
design the contemporary home,
which was built in 1987. They also
commissioned interior designer Bar-
bi Krass, of the Colorworks Studio of
Design in Farmington Hills, to create
just the right living atmosphere.
Krass said that she discussed the

overall look with the owners prior to
beginning the long ordeal of
decorating.
"Their last home was very contem-.
porary with neutral colors," she recall-
ed. "They wanted a change. We talk-
ed about the flavor of the home be-
ing very sophisticated and having
some Art Deco design in a classic
sense. They wanted the house to
have a color scheme, but they didn't
want all the rooms to match."

Alley.
Inside, the foyer has custom, free-
