They are our sons and daughters ... our
brothers, sisters and cousins. They are
young men and women just out of high
school, family men serving in the Reserves,
career officers ... Jewish soldiers doing a
lonely and difficult job. Since 1948, the
Friends of the IDF has been dedicated to
serving the human needs of Israel's soldiers,
providing for their social, recreational and
educational needs with:
* Clubhouses, rest and recreation facilities, mobile recreation units
* Education centers, teacher training centers
* Soldiers' hostels throughout Israel, hitchhiking shelters
Summer camp programs pr widows and children of fauen soldiers
* Holiday gift parcels, and much more

It is easy to be a supporter of Israel's soldiers when
things are peaceful, or in moments of great heroism
like the Six Day War or Entebbe, the dramatic
rescue of hijacked Israeli hostages. Today's heroes,
young men and women who serve their country,
