scholastic achievements
throughout his high school
career." Hershel is the son of

ROBERT S. LEIDER, a
teacher at West Bloomfield
High School, was named
Newsweek-WDIV Oakland.
County High School Teacher
of the Year. Leider teaches
grades nine-12 at the school,
where he ha's been on the
faculty since 1984. He is the
co-author of the district-wide
fine arts curriculum. Prior to
coming to West Bloomfield
High School, Leider taught in
the Pontiac schools.

ILENE BERKE, owner of
Berkley Tours and Travel,
Inc., has been named
"Woman of the Year" by the
Detroit Women's Travel
Organization.

DR. MORRIE L. DUBIN,

who maintains the practice of
optometry in Berkley, and

DR. EDWARD F. STEIN,
who practices in Pontiac,
recently attended the
American Optometric
Association's 1989 Key Con-
gressional Conference in
Washington, D.C. Drs. Dubin

JANE ZUKIN, former
Detroiter and director of

in Iowa City, Iowa, will have
her biography included in the
1989 edition of 2,000 Notable
American Women. Zukin
publishes The Newsletter For
People With Lactose In-
tolerance and Milk Allergy.
