Games Day
The senior adult depart-
ment of the Jewish Com-
munity Center will have a
games day presided over by
Sophia Hoffman at 1:30 p.m.
Sunday of the Jimmy Prentis
Morris Branch in Jaffe Hall.
Refreshments will be provid-
ed at a nominal cost.
The Mah Jongg group,
directed by Helen Ritter, is of-
fering classes for all levels of
players interested in prepar-
ing for the new card. The
group meets in room 15 on
Mondays at 12:30 p.m. There
is no charge.
A "Self Discovery Through
the Humanities" program
with Frances Weinberg will
be in Room 4 of the JPM at 11
a.m. Tuesday.
Yefet Ozery, community
shaliach (emissary), will
speak on his role in Detroit,
the Chug Aliyah and answer
questions on programs in
Israel on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in
the JPM assembly hall. The
movie, 42nd Street, will be
shown directly following the
lecture.
Cantor David Gutman, ac-
companied by Lillian
Zellman, will entertain the
Yiddish Culture Club on
Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in
Jaffe Hall.
Irving Herman will direct
the Press Review, a current
events group, at 12:30 p.m.
Thursday in room 15 of the
JPM.
Seniors To See
Broadway
The senior adult depart-
ment of the Jewish Com-
munity Center of
Metropolitan Detroit will go
to the Birmingham Theater
to see Neil Simon's comedy,
Broadway Bound on April 12.
The bus will leave the
Maple/Drake building at
11:15 a.m. and will stop at a
Birmingham restaurant for
lunch. Kosher meals are
available by advance
reservation.
Fee includes bus transpor-
tation and admission to the
play. Guests are responsible
for their own lunches.
Spaces will be filled on a
first-come basis. For informa-
