Shapiro Speaks
At Luncheon

The sisterhood of Temple
Beth El will host Esther K.
Shapiro, director of the
Detroit Consumer Affairs
department, at a luncheon
and lecture on March 13 at
noon.
Shapiro oversees a broad
program of consumer educa-
tion, information, research
and the enforcement of city
consumer ordinances. She
writes a weekly column for
the Detroit Free Press.
There is a charge for infor-
mation and reservations by
Monday. Call the temple,

Board Meeting
For JNF Women

The Women of Jewish Na-
tional Fund will hold their
board meeting on Tuesday at
noon in the Sutton Place club

Musical Event
Due For Women

A musical production for
women only, "Let There Be
Light, will be presented by
the Sally Allan Alexander
Beth Jacob School for Girls at
7:30 p.m. March 14 at South-
field-Lathrup High School.
The program will feature
drama, dance and song to por-
tray light in Jewish history
by using themes from the
Five Megillot.
