To commemorate Mr.
Charles Driker's first yar-
zheit, a tape of the program
honoring him after 10 years
as founding president of the
Yiddish Culture Club will be
played. This tape was made in
1982 with Helen Singer, pre-
siding; Cantor Louis Klein,
accompanied by Lillian
Zellman, entertaining, and
Bernard Luchtan making the
motzi. The Yiddish Culture
Club will meet Thursday at
12:30 p.m. in Jaffe Hall.
Refreshments will be served.
Dance Concert
Set For Seniors
"America, Land of 1,000
Dances' is the theme for a
presentation of dances from
America's diverse ethnic
cultures. The concert takes
place at 2 p.m. March 5 at the
Jimmy Prentis Morris
Building.
Festival Dancers will per-
form dances from the Middle
East, Ukraine and Eastern
Europe as well as a Square-
Sher that combines western
squares with a Jewish wed-
ding dance. American com-
posers Berlin, Gershwin and
Bernstein provide the inspira-
tion for the ragtime, Latino
and Jazz-influenced choreog-
raphy. The company is di-
rected by Harriet Berg with
guest singer Yvonne Moore-
Fant and pianist Lillian
Freedland.
